Kandi pachhadi ,Toor daal chutney

My mom used to make this in evenings. Its always a hit in our house. this with hot rice and ghee tastes heavenly. Again this is a magical chutney with simple and very less ingredients
 My son likes this very much,and  this is enough for him to his entire meal. This a somewhat regular in our house.


Toor daal - 1/4 cup
Dry red chillies -4 or 5or more
Jeera - 1 tsp
Salt - as required
Oil - 2tsp
Tamarind - little bit.
curry leaves - a twig


heat  1tsp oil or ghee ,add toor dal(kandipappu) in that and fry that until it changes color
Now add dry red chillies and fry

transfer this to a plate and let it cool
Grind coarsely  with adding little water

  fry jeera for one minute.
add jeera , curry leaves ,salt and tamarind to the ground toor dal

Grind all to a smooth paste ,add water as needed.

serve it with hot rice and ghee.
