Cabbage chutney

Another quick one with widely i think universally available vegetable(? or leaves). Try this ,it will become regular in your house.





ingredients:
cabbage chopped 1 cup
4 to 5 green chillies
2 tsp chana dal
2 tsp spoons urad dal
1 tea spoon mustered seeds
1 tsp methi/fengeek seeds
1 tsp coriander seeds /dhaniya (whole)
2 to 3 red chillies
lemon size tamarind or 1 tsp tamarind paste
salt to taste

For the seasoning:
1 tsp Oil
1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2 tsp urad dal
1 or 2 red chillies
1/4 tsp Asafoetida


1.Heat 1 tsp of  oil in a pan and add the urad dal,Mustard Seeds, fengeek seeds ,corriander seeds.  Add green chillies,redchilles, curry leaves, and coriander leaves

2. Grind this to fine paste with the tamarind paste, salt. add little water if needed

3. heat 1 stp of oil and add chopped cabbage . fry for some time till cabbage is crispy. alternatively you can add 1 tsp of oil and microwave for few mins.



4.Add this to grinded paste and grind it coarsly.

5 Preparing seasoning: heat 1 tsp of oil,add mustered ,urad dal ,red chillies. once these seeds splutter add asafoetida ,curry leaves.

pour this on chutney.


enjoy with rice or chapathi.
