Coconut rice in Rice cooker


'Onepot meals' for weekends to spend less time in kitchen . this one is a keeper for sure.
It will take hardly take 10 mins to prep ,switch on the rice cooker and wait for aroma to fill in air


Set 1
2 cups basmati rice or thai jasmine rice
1 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cup water (reduce or increase water depending on cooking instructions on rice)
1/2 cup grated coconut
salt
1/2 cup green peas

set 2
2 tsp cooling oil
3-4 while cardamoms
3-4  cloves
1 inch cinnamon
2 tsp peanuts
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urad dal(optional)
4-5 green chilles
1 twig curry leaves


Directions:

Add all set1 ingredients in your rice cooker ,add 1 cup.
Stir well.
Turn your cooker on.

meanwhile heat oil in a pan, add ingredients in set2 one by one.
when it splutters pour this in rice cooker

When the rice is done, you may have to fold the creamy mixture in the top into the rice very very gently so as not to mush the rice!

garnish with corriander leaves
Enjoy with potato kurma or any curry of your choice
 I made Dahi aloo to go with this.
