Cream Of Oats Soup

Soups are always refreshing... isn't it!..what about trying oats soup? try this 
A healthy, tasty oats soup is always choice of people on diet.
Cream Of Oats Soup
Ingredients:

  1. oats-1 cup
  2. bay leaf-1
  3. garlic pods-4/5
  4. corn flour-1 tbsp
  5. Onions-1 finely chopped
  6. Ginger- small piece
  7. carrot-1 finely chopped
  8. coriander-bunch
  9. salt-1 tbsp
  10. black pepper powder- 1/2 tbsp


Method: 
1. In mixer grinder , add 1 cup of oats, garlic pods, chopped carrot, ginger and blend them into a smooth paste by adding water as shown in the below image.

2. Now in a pan, add 1 tbsp of butter and fine paste which you made and saute for about 2 minutes .
3. add 1 cup of water and boil about for 5-10 minutes , you can also add bay leaf if you wish, I just prefer the flavor of this bay leaf which really adds taste to your soup.
4. In a frying pan , heat oil and saute chopped onions and wait till they turn translucent and keep them aside.
5. Now add the 1 tbsp of corn flour to 1 cup of water and add this to the boiling oats in the pan and stir it accordingly to adjust thickness of your choice.
6. Now Add onions, chopped coriander leaves, salt and pepper .
you can serve this with toasted wheat bread.

That's about it, yummy, delicious,healthy soup to keep you fuller for a longer time is ready.

Notes:

  1. You can eliminate carrot, if you don't wish to, I added just for the extra flavor.
  2. You can also add milk and stir continuously at the end instead of adding cornflour.
