Here is one interesting rasam recipe where I tasted during my college days. This kind of rasam is popular in telangana region of Andhra State.
It is kind of different in ingredients we add and process we follow from typical rasam we do.
Ingredients:
Tamarind-big lemon size
onions-1 big size
green chillies-1/2
cumin seeds- 2 tbsp
black pepper-1tbsp
Red chillies-1
coriander leaves- bunch
chilly powder-1/2 tbsp
salt- accordingly
sugar-1 tbsp
Method:

Method:
- soak tamarind for 10 min and extract 2 cups of tamarind juice.
- boil the tamarind juice for couple of minutes and now add cumin/jeera powder, black pepper powder.
- once you notice this tamarind juice boiled,add 1/2 cup water, chopped onions chopped green chilies salt,chilly powder,sugar boil for 5 minutes.
- you can do seasoning with mustard seeds, curry leaves, red chilies sauteed in oil.
