Vegetable Sooji Upma

Upma/Uppet made with Bombay sooji/rava is always delicious if cooked properly.It can be very easy roll in your stomach for a dinner/ breakfast .
Vegetable Rava Upma
Ingredients:

  1. Green peas- 1 small cup
  2. Chopped carrot-1 small cup
  3. chopped Capsicum-1/2 cup
  4. Green chilies- 2/3
  5. curry leaves-bunch
  6. coriander leaves- bunch
  7. ginger- 1 small size
  8. mustard-1tbsp
  9. Cumin seeds/Jeera-1tbsp
  10. peanuts- 1tbsp
  11. salt-1tbsp
  12. Oil-1tbsp
  13. Sooji/bombay rava- 1cup

Method:

  1. Dry roast Rava for about 5 minutes till it turns golden brown color.
  2. Cook the vegetables peas, carrot for about 10 minutes till they become soft.
  3. In a pan , Heat oil, add mustard, cumin seeds, green chilies  grated ginger,coriander leaves, chopped capsicum and saute them for about 2 minutes.
  4. Now add the cooked vegetables, salt and fry them too for about  5 minutes.
  5. Now add  3 cups water, once you see water boiling add sooji slowly by stirring with one hand .
  6. Cover the pan and cook about 5/10 minutes till it becomes soft.
